Drain Clearing:
The unexpected can cause the
greatest disruption and inconvenience. At best a
blocked drain is a nuisance but at worst it
could cause the shut down of a production line,
business premises or pose a very serious health
hazard. Whatever the drainage problem, wherever
the location and whatever the time you can call
Gadgys Drainage Services and speak direct to a
qualified engineer who will quickly and
effectively resolve your problem with the
minimum of fuss.
Our staff will help to diagnose the nature of
the fault and so ensure that the response team
arrives equipped for the task in hand. Using the
latest drainage technology and equipment
available our teams are capable of dealing with
the most problematic situations to the simple
blockages, from small bore pipes for housing
associations to larger diameter drains on
industrial sites, retail parks and hospitals.

Patch Repairs Water and root
ingress through displaced and open joints can
be damaging to the drainage system and can
result in pipe work collapse and structural
damage to property. By sealing the damaged
pipe work with a patch liner or in more severe
cases by inserting a liner along the length of
the pipe, further damage can be prevented and
the life of the system extended indefinitely.
The liner or patch is impregnated with a
polyester resin and then inserted into the
drain. Once in place the liner is inverted
using water or air pressure and left to cure,
in the majority of cases this work is
completed within a day. The flexi liners now
available make it possible for the liner to
follow any shape, forming a unique seamless
tube, capable of going round 90º bends without
wrinkles.
Once in position the resin sets and glues the
liner to the host pipe. Fractures in the pipe
are sealed; dramatically increasing pipe
strength and eliminating leaks and smells from
cracked pipes or stopping ingress from the
surrounding soil or roots into the pipes

Surveys:
As drains are normally underground and hidden
from view, this often makes it very difficult
to ascertain the exact nature of the problem.
Proper inspection and diagnosis is critical in
ensuring the correct tools and equipment is
used. This is where a CCTV survey comes in to
play.
Using the latest cam-scan equipment we can
send a camera down your drain and carry out a
CCTV survey. Our CCTV provides us with real
time, high resolution images enabling us to
detect the defect in a short period of time.
Our camera system enables us to survey up to
110 meters along the pipe work considering
pipe work is clean and silt free. Our standard
domestic CCTV camera inspection includes a
full written report, colour computerised
drainage layout diagram and DVD recording (if
requested). with the report usually returned
within 2-3 days. Buying and selling of
property surveys also carried out by us.
Root Cutting:
Drainage surveys carried out by the drainage
engineer will reveal if tree and plant roots have
penetrated the pipe. These will then be cut using
a cutter attached to a jetting hose and cuts away
roots that have intruded into pipe work. The
drainage engineer will then usually follow root
cutting with a lining. Sealing the pipe and not
allowing the roots to penetrate again.
Excavations:
At Gadgys Drainage Services, we have the tools,
skills and experience to carry out any excavations
which might be necessary for any repairs; our
engineers always work to the highest of standards
abiding to all health and safety regulations.
We are equipped to cope with any problem you may
have, be it a leaking water supply pipe in the
garden or a collapsed drain. Across the East
Midlands we are the drain clearance experts.
Drain Tracing:
The equipment identifies the exact
location of the fault which can subsequently
be excavated and repaired without excavating
large holes!! It eliminates the guess work and
as we are also able to establish the depth we
can provide a more accurate cost to the
client(s).
A 'sonde' which transmits a signal up through
the ground is inserted into the pipe and
pushed along by means of rods or a semi-rigid
fibreglass continuous coiler rod. When the
sonde stops at the fault the exact point can
be easily located using the latest
radiodetection equipment. This can be within
150mm of the sonde and give accurate depth
readings in metres. Tracing can be carried out
under grass, asphalt, concrete etc. This can
be used in conjunction ith the camera
equipment to locate branch connections and
buried manholes.
